Superchase now open in Chippenham

We’re excited to welcome Superchase to Emery Gate Shopping Centre, a new independent spot for Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) fans and retro gaming lovers, right in the heart of Chippenham.

If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a good browse through binders, loves the excitement of seeing what’s in your next booster pack, or just wants a nostalgic trip back to classic consoles, Superchase is well worth a visit. A proper Pokémon TCG browse (for collectors and newcomers).

Superchase is a great place to take your time and explore, whether you’re hunting for specific singles, building a new deck, or simply enjoying a browse through the collection.

Depending on what you’re after, you can dip into the hobby in a few different ways:

  • Singles hunting: ideal if you’re chasing cards to finish a set, upgrade a deck, or grab a favourite Pokémon

  • Binder browsing: that classic “just one more page” feeling, perfect for discovering something you didn’t know you wanted

  • Collector essentials: think sleeves, top loaders and the kind of stuff that keeps your best cards protected while you build your collection

  • Big finds: if you’re into rarities, you’ll love spotting standout cards and collector favourites while you browse

Whether you’re learning the difference between a full art and an ultra rare, or you already know your way around set lists and chase cards, you’ll feel right at home.

Retro gaming corner: play while you browse

One of the best parts? Superchase has a retro gaming corner for kids and adults, so while you’re browsing the Pokémon collection, there’s a fun little space to take a break, get hands-on, and enjoy some classic gaming.

It’s a nice touch for families (and for anyone who fancies a bit of nostalgia), making it feel more like a hobby hub than just a shop visit.

Meet the owner

Superchase is run by Kevin Hitchens, and the love for games and collecting goes way back. Kevin says it all started when he was 9, after getting a Gameboy for Christmas. That’s when he “caught the Nintendo bug” and it stuck. Then in 2015, when his son was born, he found himself getting back into it all again, and that passion eventually grew into Superchase.

The business itself has been running since 20 December 2025, and opening in Emery Gate felt like the right fit from day one. Kevin describes it as a “chilled atmosphere” with “lovely people” and the “perfect shop location.”

For Kevin, having a physical space is a big part of what makes Superchase special. He wants it to feel calm and friendly, somewhere people can properly enjoy the hobby. And for collectors, it makes a real difference being able to see items in person before buying, especially if it’s a chase card you’ve been after for ages. It also means you can ask questions, compare options, and chat with other collectors while you’re in store, which is half the fun and something you just don’t get online.

Buy, sell and trade

Superchase is built around the community side of the hobby too, with options to buy, sell and trade, whether you’re moving on cards you no longer need or searching for that one missing piece for your collection.

Plans for future events

Kevin’s already looking ahead to Pokémon Day on 27 February, which also marks the 30th anniversary this year. Superchase will be celebrating in store, with more details to follow.
